First off, don’t forget we are still on Kickstarter for a few more weeks!
Secondly, Beta 3 is now open and its main goal is to introduce the narrative side of Mirai’s goals, while also fixing many other things.
We are releasing the storybook for chapter 1. They are fully voice acted and subtitled in English so now you can get the exposition in-game. Rediscover why Mirai is so determined to see her journey through in order to rescue Kako!
Major Updates
– Implemented the storybook for the beginning of the game
– Added a new hover skill to float in combat
– Updated the skill shop with new icons and to test the costs for the intended game length
Changes
– Changed what happens when the timer hits zero; instead of spawning enemies, the player dies now
– Simplified the dash behavior so it now has a static cooldown instead
– Tuned the dash speed lower so that upgrades feel more valuable
– Disabled the camera zoomout temporarily while we look for a better solution – Added trampolines to level 1
Sounds
– Added creature sounds to snails
– Added new SFX to dashes, jump pads, dryer, fruit, cash registers, and life preservers
– Added missing SFX references on rocks, chairs, pots, fences, signs, lamps, and cake
Bugfixes
– Corrected physics behaviors using wrong delta time
– Fixed time purchases maxing out the timer
– Set the orb speed to now outrun the player
